This treatment refers to a minimally invasive solution to replace teeth in patients who are missing all their teeth in one or both jaws. Typically, a minimum of four implants are placed in each jaw on the day of surgery and loaded immediately. Treatment time and complexity is reduced by avoiding separate extensive bone grafting procedures, and tilting the implants instead. In the upper jaw, zygomatic implants may be used to facilitate the treatment.

Our surgeons will carry out the surgery and place the implants in the jaws and work closely with specialist prosthodontists (who will be making the teeth) to complete your treatment.

This procedure may be performed under general anaesthesia or local anaesthesia +/- sedation. The type of anaesthesia chosen may depend on your underlying medical condition, whether other procedures are required at the same time (for instance, removal of teeth) and the number and type of implants being placed. Many patients request to undergo this procedure under general anaesthesia in hospital and this is easily arranged for you by our OralMax Surgeons.
